PROJECT DESCRIPTION
​
The Walnut Woods project initially involved, 12 large townhouses – seven buildings with 3,600 SF and five buildings 2,800 SF.
​
The scope of the development/design services included:

Creating/Providing a viable solution for affordable housing options with additional rental units within the townhouses.

Providing a modern design, while preserving the buildings’ historic characteristics
-
Complete electrical, mechanical, and plumbing upgrades, including all new bathrooms with new fixtures and layouts; waterlines and stacks, new heating systems with air conditioning per owners’ preferences; new wiring and light fixtures throughout; etc.

Architectural/spatial modifications, including new walls, stairs and decks or porches, kitchens, closets with sufficient storage, new floor finishes, restoration of historical Rookwood Tile flooring and Mahogany wall/wainscot paneling

New roofing to replace existing deteriorated slate roof – while maintaining the original appearance; replacement windows to reflect the historical character or the original windows; paint scheme to compliment historical color schemes.
