Project:
Created from inception, the role of Special Project Architect & Quality Manager for a unique building project of national significance - focus on Slavery and the journeys to freedom.

Details:
Director of: site selection analysis and infrastructure investigations; site planning; site logistic planning and coordination involving - utility relocations; restructuring of the "New Riverfront" street patterns; and operationally the new interface with underground bus/transit center-special security and terrorist protections measures; special security and terrorist protections measures; managed the need for structural redundancy in garage and buildings after 9/11 attacks; negotiated term, conditions, and responsibilities matrix for architects and construction management teams; created/issued the national RFQ for construction management teams; lead the selection of construction management team managed/directed all technical design reviews; primary assessor of project construction costs; monitored & evaluated project schedules & overall design progress; conducted periodic constructability reviews based on contract deliverables; participation in partnering activities for multi mega-projects (Fort Washington Way, Bengal's stadium, and garage construction) as part of monthly coordination meetings with City, County, and State staff/officials plus 12 different design/engineering/planning consultants.

Professional service fee contract spanned for 5 years.
