First World Architects Studio

Project:
In joint venture with KZF Design, First World Architects Studio (FWAS) served as project architect/manager for all architectural services required for each task order with Au Authum Ki's (builder), for a IDIQ design/build MATOC Contract to design prototypical new dining hall facilities for various military installations, under the direction of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

The team's challenge, were to design and construct a new prototype dining facilities complimentary to the existing architecture at Fort Bliss and like installations. Once completed, each new facility provided a friendly and inviting place to efficiently feed 1,300 soldier three meals per day in a 90-minute feeding period, seven days per week, 365 days per year in a setting more like a college or university cafeteria than a military setting. Each facility will comfortably seat 624 patrons at one time, plus up to 50 in a private dining atmosphere.

The new dining hall facility designs are intended to reflect current college cafeteria or corporate type floor plan characteristics.

All designs  were prepared consistent with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) USACE standards required for this project.
